If you want to save your pennies this Valentine's Day, here is how you can do it...

Breakfast in bed
There is a high probability that you already have all the ingredients to make breakfast. I'm not talking smoked salmon and hand-made croissants - but with a little creativity you can make a special moment with your loved one. Think heart-shaped toast, freshly picked flowers from the garden and a personalised menu or note to accompany your beautiful breakfast tray.

Love coupons
Design your own Love Coupons - slips of paper entitling the bearer to romantic moments, to be redeemed whenever he or she chooses. Your coupons could be anything -  '1 x picnic in the park', 'a 15-minute massage' or a 'a home-cooked 3-course meal', it's up to you.

Make a Mix Tape... or a Mix CD
Let's face the facts - nobody listens to tapes these days, so instead, make your Valentine a special Mix CD. On this CD you could put together all the music you know they love. You could even create a photo CD while you're on the computer, full of all your favourite digital photos of your time together.
